Celebrating International Women’s day, meet these 5 young talents in the world of Design:
This Scottish artist graduated from The Glasgow School of Art Silversmithing & Jewellery department in 2015 and completed her Masters in Jewellery & Metal at the Royal College of Art in 2018. Now living in Japan, Kathleen won numerous awards working both in public and private collections for her metalwork.
This fashion stylist launched a website of curated objects, vintage furniture, and artisanal sculptures. It all started with an Instagram mood board full of inspirations and objects she collected and now it's a successful business called Claude Home.
She defines her aesthetic as timeless, minimal and serene.
Founder of Pernilla Ohrstedt Studio, the Stockholm designer grew up with parents who were architects and came to London in 2000 to study art and design.
She started to get value for applying a fresh sensibility and adventure to materials and fabrication in architecture, art, product design and branding.
Without ever creating a specific style, her main purpose is to surprise herself, reinventing her viewpoint with every project.
Ellen Van Dusen
Born in Washington, Ellen became fixated on kinetic colours, inspired by the artist Ellsworth Kelly and in 2010, this designer launched Dusen Dusen, a womenswear line known for bold, original prints on versatile, wearable silhouettes. Later in 2015, the brand expanded with the launch of Dusen Dusen Home, a textile and home goods line that includes bedding, throws, pillows, and towels.
